So it was one of those normal Sundays.
He was responsible for greeting and ministering to first-timers in his local church.
He had been going through a trying time in his life, and on this day, he was just going through the motions.
It didn’t seem that the words the Holy Spirit gave him “You will rise in the midst of the storm” would have any effect.
So on that day, he ministered to the first timers and spoke to them about the churches programs etc.
He was just going to carry his bag and go….and then he felt that nudge in his spirit…
“Pray for him”
Now, the “him” referred to an elderly man who had come for the church service, but couldnt move properly and walked with the aid of a cane.
His wife came along with him and would support him at intervals….
When this brother would see people with canes, and crutches, he would feel this urge to minister the power of God to them and heal them….but on this day, he ignored the still small voice due to his own issues…
“Pray for him”
He couldn’t resist the voice, and this elderly man and his wife were the last people in the first timers room, and the man was about limping out the door and passed in front of him…
Reluctantly, the brother asked….“Sir are you in any pain?”
The elderly man described how he had an accident that affected his hip bone, and how he couldn’t bend down properly, and how he loved to dance but was hindered because of the bone issue.
The brother laid hands on Baba, and spoke life to the bones, and commanded the leg to be healed.
Kayaaaa!
The Holy Ghost moved.
He asked the elderly man to do what he couldnt do before….and he said the pain had reduced and he could move better.
He laid hands again, this time on his chest, and commanded life into the entire body…
The old man said he felt a cool sensation spread throughout his body when hands were laid…
The pain was gone!
Baba could bend down properly!
The brother collected the walking cane and instructed his wife NEVER to let him use it again, the wife agreed.
The old man walked down the stairs without the cane unaided.
Glory to Jesus!
We quickly called our media guys to record his testimony!
Last Sunday baba and his wife showed up again and he was walking freely without the aid of the cane!
The power of God is always present and ready to heal, and deliver.
Step out in faith anyhow, even reluctantly, and God will back you up!
