“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever,” Hebrews 13:8

These days, it’s common to see many people downplay the power of God.

Anyone who flows in prophecy, the gifts of the spirit, healing, and the supernatural in general, etc, seems to be labelled with all sorts of names…

“Magician, false prophet, etc.”

My favorite is “Simon the Sorcerer”…someone of no repute in the Bible has now gained relevance.

Some also will tell you the age of miracles is past and stopped in the age of the apostles.

Let no one fool you.

I have seen men bound by the power of the enemy, and I have seen the power of God set them free.

I have seen the sick healed by the laying on of hands.

I have had encounters with the lord as well as many others.

I have seen accurate, forensic prophecy where the word of God will open up the secrets of a man’s heart, and with tears and repentance, the person’s life is turned around.

So, miracles are not for today, but the devil didn’t go on vacation, right?

Well, it’s not surprising.

Jesus, our master, was accused of working miracles by the power of beelzebub.

But those comments didn’t stop him, and hence shouldn’t stop us.

Lets be sober and vigilant.

It’s time for us to contend for the supernatural.

Contend for the things of the Spirit.

The more the supernatural is criticized by the headless mob, there is a danger of these manifestations vanishing from the body.

This is what the enemy wants…a powerless Church.

A church that won’t see when an attack is coming because their prophets have been shamed and called all sorts of names by the headless mob.

I remember reading a particular sister’s testimony on a social media platform.

She had healed a sick person by praying for them…

She posted it excitedly…

The mob came….

Criticisms and nitpicking by people who hadn’t won a soul in ages or who hadn’t healed a headache.

They will tell you praying in tongues is not for today, or what people say in tongues is just gibberish.

Whereas when life holds these same people by the throat…

They will seek out those whom they criticized and ask for the power of God to be ministered to them…

A prophet I respect so much told of how he used to see accurate visions…

Until he shared with his group, and they criticized him and told him they were of the devil.

It took a wake-up call for him to finally leave and embrace his gift in its entirety.

Do not quench the Spirit.

Do not despise prophecies.

Do not scoff at or downplay the power of God.

Are there fakes?

Of course.

But they stole it from us who are of the light.

At Pneuma Logos Ministries International (PLMI), a supernatural Christian ministry in Nigeria, we boldly affirm that the power of God is real and still at work today.

While some dismiss the prophetic and miraculous as outdated or fake, we contend for the supernatural and train believers to walk daily in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This is more than doctrine — it’s our lifestyle, and it’s the divine mandate on this prophetic ministry in Nigeria.

Press into the supernatural things of God.

Heal the sick, raise the dead, prophesy, do the will of the Father

And Jesus will be glorified.
