Tonight as a supernatural Christian ministry, we had our monthly communion service, which is always the second Wednesday of the month, and the theme was “Meal of Remembrance.”
The Old Testament is replete with stories of God remembering His people, and when He does, it is to bring favor, deliverance, and move them to the next level.
God remembered Hannah and opened her womb, and she bore Samuel,
God remembered the Israelites of old (a type and shadow of the church) and brought them out of Egypt with silver and gold and with none feeble amongst them.
Isaiah 49:15-16
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
In the New Testament, God remembered us by sending us his son Jesus, who died for us and brought us into glory. He made us sons, and made us sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ, far above principalities and powers.
During the communion, as led by the Spirit, we began to share testimonies of his goodness…
Someone was down to their last Naira and gave an offering only to get credited the next day…
Another was delivered from the oppression of an evil boss…
I shared how I came out of 5 years of career stagnation…
And on and on…
One thing is certain
The power of God is real, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Miracles did not cease with the apostles; they are a part of this reality and dispensation!
I want to encourage you, reading this to just remember Gods goodness over your life.
He is faithful
He doesn’t forget!
We pray in the Spirit and read the Bible daily.
